Ye Olde Man Winter Training Ride (20 mils, 930 ft)

I, Sunny Waas, need to train for the Old Man Winter Rally (Feb 11, 2018) and will be doing this ride 3 times a week (T, W, Th) and would like you to join me if you can. Bring out your MTB, CX, hybrid or gravel grinder and ride Coal Creek and Rock Creek trails! This is a flat-ish 20 mile route that allows you to get in some serious training, including intervals. This ride should take approximately 1.5 hours.

If you use GPS cycling computers, apps, or any other navigation aide, please download the route via the link below.

I expect there to be goat heads on some of these trails so please be ready to fix flats or try and get self-sealing tubes (i.e., Slime). Those of you who ride tubeless, please check the condition of your sealant regularly.

Don't forget to dress warm!

Please note that this event is totally weather dependent and may change without notice if riding conditions are deemed unsuitable for a group ride.

Date/Time: T, W, Th, 10 AM

Starting location: Velo Stop
1617 Coalton Rd, Superior, CO 80027

GPS route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/16728776

Misc: Please bring a jacket, windbreaker, arm/leg warmers, and other cold weather gear, some food, water, pump or inflator, extra tube or patch kit.

Please feel free to contact me if needed

Email: sunny@velo-stop.com

Note:

Here's the unfortunate but necessary DISCLAIMER for any bike rides I lead. In case you are unaware, bike riding on roads and trails have their inherent risks. These include potential injury from cars, trees, the ground, other riders, dehydration, hypothermia, heat exhaustion, mechanical failures, etc. Your involvement in group activities indicates that you understand these risks and acknowledge that you are responsible for your own health and well being while participating in pre/during/post ride activities related to this group. Please do your best to be prepared for rides.
